Family Gathering Games lets a host run party games on a TV while guests play from their phones. We keep data to the minimum the game needs.
What we store
- For each game: the title, settings, the join code, and the questions played.
- For each guest: the name and picture they typed or picked, their team, and their answers. Guests don't create accounts.
- For hosts: a random device ID kept in the browser, used to remember a purchased pass. If you buy a pass, our payment providers (Polar for the web, Apple or Google through RevenueCat in the apps) process the payment; we receive the order ID, not your card.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting product analytics (PostHog) to see which games work and where hosts get stuck. Guest screens are not session-recorded. We don't sell data and we don't show ads.
Children
The games are designed for families and kid-safe by default. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; a guest name can be a nickname.
Retention and deletion
Game data is kept for up to 12 months so hosts can reopen keepsakes, then deleted. To delete a game sooner, contact us with the join code.
